  1. Since Dickson is age 40 at the time he married Kanzada, it is very possible that he married prior to this marriage. Some researchers have claimed to have found the marriage August, 5, 1847 in Lawrence County, Tennessee between Dickson and Milly Whorton. I have a problem with this date and place. I do find in 1850, Madison County, Arkansas, a Milly Whorton, age 15, living with Caleb Whorton, age 62. Madison County is right beside Newton County. If Dickson married Milly Whorton, I believe it took place in Arkansas, not Tennessee, and after 1850. They may have had the child Ruth, and Milly may have died giving birth. I am researching this further.

  1. I am not sure what year Clay was born. In the 1900 census, his date of birth is December 1885. On his World War I registration it states the year of birth is 'unknown'. His grave marker has 1888. Since his sister, Lula, was born in 1888, Clay would have had to have been born around 1886.
