- Gilmore's legal birth date, has been impossible to document. I have a World War I card for him with the birth date 23 October 1882. His wife is Rebecca. I have a marriage license for G. G. Riggins, and Rebecca Eiland, dated 1902. I have a World War II card for him with the birth date 23 October 1896. In the census, with Chloe, his birth year matches his World War II card. A grave marker in the Maplewood Cemetery bearing the name Gilmore G. Riggins has the birth date, 23 October 1884.
